"When will I be old enough to lay an egg?"
The question came from a young female goose named Donna. She had been firing
questions at Old Mama Goose all morning.
"When you're older," honked Old Mama Goose. She scuttled away to tend to her own
eggs, Donna close behind. Old Mama gasped.
"What's wrong?" asked Donna.
"They've gone!" shrieked Old Mama.
"What?"
"They've gone!" Old Mama repeated. "Every single one!"
