Part 14: Thieves Revealed!

Arnold The Fish decided that today was the day he'd crack the case. He had all three
of the French hens moved into the same room.

He knelt so as to be face to face with Madame Petite, and spoke in a clear voice:
"Did you steal Old Mama Goose's eggs?"
"Why, no!" she exclaimed.
"But you said…" Arnold started.
"I stole Madame Grande's eggs!"
"Oh." said Arnold.

He then climbed onto a box so as to be face to face with Madame Grande.
"Did you steal Old Mama Goose's eggs?" he asked her.
"Certainly not!" asserted Madame Grande.
"But you said…"
"I stole Madame Petite's eggs!"
"Oh." said Arnold.

Arnold had a think.
