‘DING DONG!’When Arnold The Fish opened his door, he saw the maid he met earlier.
“Oh Mr. Fish, it’s so kind of you to see me. You see, I found out if Mr. Dumpty liked
Mrs. SOW.”
“SOW?” asked Arnold.
“I’ll explain, “ said the maid. “I asked her if Mr. Dumpty liked her. She said ‘Hardly’.
Then she told me a story.”
“Yes?” prompted Arnold.
“It turns out that when they were younger, Mrs. NYL (Nice Young Lady) had a bit of
a crush on Mr. Dumpty. When she proposed to him, he turned her down, calling her
a ‘miserable bum-head’. That got her a bad temper and she became Mrs. AOW. While
she was telling me this story she started crying. Now she's changed her name to
Mrs. Sad Old Woman.”
“Hmmm, “ said Arnold, and he crossed out number one on the list.
