Once upon a time there was an unusually long prologue which served to set up the story.Oh, it was this one.
Nurse Grobbins prepared three tea trays, just as she did every day. This was because she
was the live-in housekeeper for three elderly women - Miss Gloria Hird, Miss Sapphire Ing,
and Miss Jane Fortune. All three were sadly confined to wheelchairs these days, and never
left the room they shared.
Nurse Grobbins didn't mind, as it meant that she had the whole house to herself. As soon
as she'd taken the ladies their afternoon tea, she planned to settle down in front of the
telly for an evening watching "Waking The Silent Witness".
Unbeknownst to her however, this generic clone of a TV show would have to wait. For
when she delivered the tea to the ladies' room, she discovered that Miss Ing was… GONE!
