Conclusion: Snowdown at the Docks

Ida shoved Icy Joe, who was temporarily caught by surprise. Ida leapt onto a conveniently placed speedboat.

“Will you join me, Mr. Detective?” she asked Arnold The Fish.

“I don’t think so,” replied Arnold. “What with you setting me up and nearly getting me killed and everything. In fact, you’re under arrest!”

“Suit yourself, Mr. Detective,” said Ida. “Goodbye.”

Ida sped away in the speedboat.

Arnold turned his attention towards Icy Joe and the mass of large threatening-looking penguins.

“You’re all under arrest!” declared Arnold.

Icy Joe laughed.

Suddenly 25 police cars turned up, and the police arrested all of the penguins.

“Well, that’s a relief.” said Arnold.

“Hello, Arnold!” said Chief Constable Ben Ruefoot, strolling up to Arnold. “Everything’s taken care of, the penguins are arrested, and the Ice Diamond is being returned to the museum. We may even have enough evidence to arrest The Snowman!”
“Great!” said Arnold.

“And I’m sure we’ll catch that woman eventually!” added Ruefoot cheerfully.

“Her name was Ida,” Arnold told Ruefoot. “How did you know we were here?”

“Oh,” Ruefoot explained, “we were following you since Nelson’s Nightclub. You know, what with you being a murder suspect and all.”

Arnold wasn’t sure whether or not to be offended by this, but in the end decided that as he was still alive he would let this one pass.

Arnold The Fish turned to face the water. “Goodbye, Jeanie” he whispered into the breeze.

“Wasn’t her name Ida?” asked Ben Ruefoot.

“Probably,” agreed Arnold.
