One hour later, the last of the crewmen turned out his pockets, and Arnold The Fish was disappointed not to have found the missing diamond. He said as much aloud."What missing diamond?" asked Captain Spanner. "You're supposed to be looking for
my watch!"
"Oh darn!" cursed Arnold. "Okay lads, we'll have to start again."
The crew groaned at the prospect of standing around for another hour.
"No need for that," said the Captain, "At least I was paying attention, and none of them
had the watch."
Arnold was puzzling over his next move when an eerie tick-tock sound came drifting up
through the boards of the deck…
