Arnold The Fish went to see Madame Petite."What were you doing this morning?" he asked her.
"What I'm always doing in the mornings!" she answered. "Jumping!"
'Jumping for eggs!' Arnold thought. 'I bet she did it.'
Next Arnold went in to see Madame Grande.
Again Arnold asked "What were you doing this morning?"
"What I'm always doing in the mornings!" came the reply. "Reaching for things!"
'Reaching for eggs!' thought Arnold. 'I bet she did it.'
Finally Arnold went to see Madame Grosse.
He asked the same question as he'd asked the other two hens.
"What I'm always doing in the mornings!" Madame Grosse responded. "Eating!"
You can probably guess what Arnold thought.
